Cognos Drives Efficiencies at Hyundai Car (UK)
Overview
Hyundai Car (UK) is the UK distributor for all Hyundai vehicles imported into the UK from Hyundai Motor Company in Korea. During 2000, Hyundai Car (UK) underwent a number of major infrastructure changes to create a foundation for moving the business forward in terms of vehicle, parts and accessory sales. However, the new applications had limited reporting capabilities, were mostly paper-based and lacked flexibility. After a comprehensive evaluation, Hyundai Car (UK) chose Cognos Series 7. Just six months after going live with the Cognos business intelligence solution, they have already identified savings of £75,000 over the next two years as they no longer have the same reliance on external data. Employees are also far more self-sufficient when it comes to reporting, resulting in higher personal productivity. They can produce reports quickly and easily, can 'drill down' through any selection of data, and instantly have accurate information on which to base decisions, making the use of company time and resources more efficient.
