Cisco Partner Creates Network Solution to Address Library District's Goals and Needs

Overview The Fountaindale Public Library District, located in the state of Illinois, was committed to upgrading and expanding its aging network system. The computer room was full of old equipment that had reliability issues. The library's Internet connection created virus and security concerns throughout the network. RMS then designed a new system based on Fountaindale's needs and goals. The new design included a Cisco LAN switching solution, a security and WAN link solution based on Cisco routers, substantial NetWare work rebuilding the server and tree, a reliable anti-virus system, and a combined e-mail and backup server running Windows NT. Cisco TAC gave them the tools to solve this and other issues very quickly. With a networking system they can trust, the library staff is becoming very efficient at using it and is enjoying new productivity.
