Unicenter and Unicenter ServicePlus Service Desk Help "The Government's Landlord" Nationwide

Overview Known as "the government's landlord," the Public Buildings Service (PBS) of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) owns, manages, and provides security for a large portion of U.S. federal government buildings. According to Erika Pierce, Team Lead Computer Specialist and Help Desk Manager for the Great Lakes Region, the Help Desk staff of 10-12 individuals receives an average of 1,500 calls per month, regarding a host of hardware and software related issues. Before implementing Unicenter and the Unicenter Service Desk (Unicenter SD) (now known as Unicenter ServicePlus Service Desk), Pierce said the help desk software they used, was actually hindering the help desk's ability to manage those calls.
