St. Vincent Solves Security Challenges With CA's eTrust Single Sign-On

Overview St. Vincent Hospital is a regional health system in Indiana with eight hospitals and a number of health services locations. It needed fast, secure access to applications and confidential patient data for its doctors and patients, without running the risk of system failures. Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) modified its single sign-on solution, eTrust Single Sign-On (eTrust SSO), to work with Biometrics. eTrust SSO was also modified to operate in a shared clinical workstation environment to make it accessible by multiple users. The modified, single sign-on configuration used by St. Vincent allows many clinical users to quickly share workstations without the time-consuming requirements to log in to the network operating systems.
