Overview movianVPN version 1.1 from Certicom is the first virtual-private-network (VPN) client designed specifically for wireless devices that interoperates with Cisco VPN 3000 Series Concentrators and supports the IP Security (IPSec) security standard. movianVPN uses the IPSec protocol to communicate with the corporate intranet, creating a secure tunnel over a wireless network and the Internet. All data that passes between the client and the gateway is encrypted using Certicom's fast, efficient implementations of cryptographic algorithms and protocols. This white paper provides a detailed description about this security application.
