Overview This bulletin provides IDC's predictions for the revenue and unit shipment growth rates of the Linux COE and SOE markets. This document provides historical data and introduces revenue forecasts for Linux operating environments and other open source operating environments for the period 2002?2006. In addition, this document provides Linux COE and SOE unit shipment forecasts for both paid and revenue copies. This data is provided in summary form without analysis of individual vendors. More detailed analysis, including by vendor splits of revenue and shipment data, will be provided later this year.
