Seoul Broadcasting System Employs On Demand Technology with IBM Digital Media Center Implementation

Overview Seoul, Korea, SBS is the first major broadcaster in the world to implement the IBM Digital Media Center. The Digital Media Center will automate their news program system, allowing for the digitalization of SBS' news program production processes. SBS' News Digital System will be based on IBM's hardware and software infrastructure, called the IBM Digital Media Center for Broadcasters (DMC), coupled with implementation services delivered by IBM Global Services. By using powerful storage and digital video file systems previously used with IBM's work in supercomputing, IBM's DMC enables broadcasters to manage video and digital content more efficiently.
