Overview In this document, the question of Dynamo scalability is broken down into two fundamental questions: Is the fundamental architecture of the ATG platform sufficiently scalable to meet a company’s volume requirements? Does ATG’s personalization and Scenario technology also scale sufficiently to provide extensively personalized customer experiences across multiple market segments? Each question lends itself to an answer that starts with “it depends.” Our discussion attempts to address this in a rational fashion, illuminating the secondary question of “on what does it depend?” and presenting evidence to substantiate every claim. The assumed audience is a senior management team member with a business focus but a technology aptitude. The reader should be familiar with the basic capabilities and architecture of Dynamo.
