Integrating Widespread Networks With Solutions From Enterasys
Overview DeKalb Technical Institute in Clarkston, Georgia, with nearly 70 programs of study and serving more than 25,600 credit, non-credit and adult literacy students, is the largest technical institute in the state. The first solution DeKalb investigated was Enterasys' CyberSWITCH 400, a LAN-to-WAN remote access switch and gateway device with Ethernet and multiprotocol remote workgroup support. The CyberSWITCH could support a large number of remote connections for both employees and users who needed quick access to information at the main Clarkston campus. But even the CyberSWITCH, on its own, could not keep up with the demand for LAN-to-WAN communication between remote sites. That's when DeKalb turned to Enterasys' SmartSwitch Router 2000.
