Marconi Takes Learning to a New Level at Higher Colleges of Technology
Overview At the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), its mission is to provide Emirati nationals with the educational services needed to prepare for professional and technical careers in both the government and private sectors of UAE’s rapidly developing economic and cultural environment. With staff and student numbers rising at an average rate of 30 percent a year, HCT found that expansion at its colleges was quickly consuming bandwidth on the WAN and LANs not yet upgraded to its ATM backbone, affecting the network’s ability to deliver key applications. Using an ATM solution from Marconi, HCT has upgraded its existing campus-wide network and extended its ATM network capabilities across the WAN.
