Automatic Protection Switching on the CBX 500 and GX 550 Multiservice WAN Switches

Overview This document describes the Automatic Protection Switching (APS) 1+1 features on the CBX 500 and GX 550 multiservice WAN switches. There are currently several varieties of APS, which differ across the various switch platforms and software releases. Unless otherwise noted, the APS feature described in this document applies only to the CBX 500 and GX 550 switches. This paper does not replace the existing CBX 500 and GX 550 user manuals, which describe Lucent APS from a different perspective. Consult these manuals (particularly the NavisCore Physical Interface Configuration Guide) for additional information."
