Dell OpenManage Server Administrator
Overview Dell recently announced OpenManage Server Administrator, a secure Web tool for managing individual Dell(TM) PowerEdgeTM servers. Using this tool, an administrator with an Internet/intranet connection can manage the server from any location using a standard Web browser. The new tool allows an administrator to do more than simply obtain status information. The administrator can also troubleshoot, configure, and update the system—management tasks that have traditionally been possible only from a central console or at the server itself. Integrated security leverages the server's operating system security infrastructure and uses the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption protocol.
