Enabling Client Systems Management with Alert Standard Format (ASF) Technology

Overview More and more companies are focusing on lowering the cost of ownership of networked client computers. At the same time, IT departments are under increasing pressure to do more with less and drive down costs. These two trends have driven standardization efforts, spearheaded by the industry leaders, to develop technology that makes client computers easier to manage remotely. The established Desktop Management Interface (DMI) and Common Information Model (CIM) standards enable client management when the operating system is present.
