Broadband License-free ISM Band Wireless Products – Cost-effective Voice, Data and Video IP-enabling Solutions
Overview With deregulation in many telecommunications markets, many competitive local exchange providers (CLECs), ISPs (including WISPS - wireless ISPs) and enterprises are investing in broadband wireless communications equipment for business-class Internet, telephony and video services. This paper provides an overview of the attributes of fixed and mobile technologies driving the increased demand for higher-speed backhaul. It addresses the trends of data and voice access requirements and issues regarding choice of packet transfer technologies (IP and ATM).
