Storage Area Network Security: Data Access and Fabric Management
Overview Storage Area Networks (SANs), using Fibre Channel technologies have become the storage solution of choice for data access and management in environments where data is growing exponentially. SANs offer data centralization, high performance, and easy-to-manage data access. They are designed to allow multiple applications, in heterogeneous or homogeneous environments, to share the same storage resources. However, when multiple applications share the same storage resources, data corruption could result. The following "SANs Data Security and Fabric Management" white paper discusses measures that can be deployed to resolve data security and fabric management concerns in SAN environments.
