SMOS (Sage Mean Opinion Score) White Paper

Overview SMOS stands for Sage (Instruments) Mean Opinion Score. SMOS provides an automated, fast, convenient and accurate end-to-end assessment of voice quality for any VoX applications. SMOS follows the automated responder test format and employs robust in-band telemetry and synchronization with true real-time processing. The test can be conveniently used in both laboratory environment as well as across a real telephone network with literally the simple press of one button.
