Migration Tools White Papers
Migrating to Microsoft Access 95
Overview
This paper covers the topic of migrating your Access 2.0 applications to Microsoft Access for Windows 95, Version 7. Although backward-compatibility is an important goal for all Microsoft products, the need to allow new features and capabilities means that some issues arise when converting your applications.
While this paper is Access specific, it covers things that are applicable to migrating other Office applications. For example, the concepts involved in converting to VBA are applicable to Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel for Windows 95. The concepts involved in converting 16-bit API calls to their 32-bit equivalents applies to all applications.
