Data Collaboration – Creating a Facility Information Resource Centre

Overview During the past several years, many web-enabled applications have been introduced to promote project collaboration with multiple resources. The proliferation of domain sites on the World Wide Web, along with advances in web browser software and plug-in applets have contributed greatly to this effort. Many of these collaborative sites are being hosted by the architectural or general contractor firms selected for the project. Many facility departments have the tools to set-up their own facility information resources center, but have not done so due to the learning curve required or the costs necessary for implementation.
