Wireless PKI: Opportunities

Overview Wireless devices offer tremendous flexibility when combined with a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). The freedom of the wirefree world combined with the security and authentication made possible by PKI will change the face of commerce for businesses and consumers alike.

In the future, your personal signature device (either on its own or in combination with another workstation) will be able to generate legally binding electronic signatures. It will also enable you to authenticate yourself remotely over networks. Moreover, this device will not only be mobile, it will be wireless and in your pocket. This document will focus on some usage scenarios and briefly inform you about the underlying structure.
