Enterprise Caching and Citrix ICA

Overview The market leader in Server-based computing today is Citrix Systems – who through the use of the Citrix Independent Computing Architecture, have enabled the processing of an application to be moved 100% from the client to the server. ICA allows any client device to effectively become a real Thin Client, allowing the client to see and work with all the application’s interfaces, but having the application execute on the server.

Although designed to be highly efficient, each Citrix user on an enterprise network utilizes a significant amount of bandwidth. Expand Network’s Enterprise Caching Technology within a Citrix ICA environment can dramatically reduce bandwidth usage, reducing the Total Cost Of Ownership, by increasing the number of remote users supported on a single link.
