Attitude Adjustment: Trojans and Malware on the Internet

Overview This paper examines problems related to Trojan horses on the Internet. Diverse user attitudes are explored; ways in which those attitudes can affect an individual or an organization's vulnerability to various types of Trojanizations are contemplated. Observations related to the role of the antivirus industry in solving the problem are considered. Throughout the paper, technical and policy based strategies for minimizing the risks of damage from various types of Trojan horses on the Internet are presented.
