Integrating PRM Under IT/O
Overview
HP Process Resource Manager (PRM) is a resource management tool that can control the amount of CPU and memory that processes can use. This document describes how to integrate PRM into the ITO graphical user interface, so that PRM commands can be launched from the ITO management station, thus executing on a node that is being managed by ITO. This enables you to launch PRM commands from one place, rather than having to issue the command from the command line of each of the nodes.
The Process Resource Manager Bundle B3834AA (Version B.10.22 or later) must be installed on each node on which the new commands are to be executed. PRM can not be successfully launched from ITO if PRM is not installed on the node(s) that ITO will manage. It is assumed that the reader is familiar with using the Openview IT/Operations Management Server product.
