Data Warehouse Volume Growth Continues
Overview Database Vendors Teradata, a division of NCR, and Oracle has published two multibyte TB (terabyte) decision support benchmarks at the three TB volume point. These are the first multi-terabyte TPC-H benchmarks submitted, and they require some 22 TB and 24.4 TB of total disk space (respectively). The sheer size of the undertaking is one of the factors that is keeping data warehousing in the foreground of management challenges.
