Information on Klez Worm Sending Viruses With F-Secure Name

Overview In late January 2002, an e-mail worm called Klez.E and Klez.G started spreading. This worm spreads by sending e-mail messages to addresses found from users address book - like most other e-mail worms. However, it also changes the sender address. Instead of showing the owner of the infected machine as the sender, Klez replaces it with a random address from the address book. So, infected messages are being sent around, using a wide variety of false addresses as the sender. As lots of people have saved F-Secure support or service addresses to their address books, we've seen many cases where Klez.E or G has sent itself using addresses belonging to us.
