Modelling the Embryological Distribution of Follicles

Overview We present an overview of problems associated with modelling embryological distribution of follicles. We focus on the embryological stage of development since this is the stage when the position of the follicles is determined. Many theories of biological pattern development are relevant to the follicle distribution pattern; however, there is an added complexity in that the follicle placement occurs as the organism develops. This paper describes the necessity of coupling pattern development and growth.
