Supply Chain Management White Papers

The Future of IT Services

Overview E-businesses must interact with or "touch" their customers more effectively than in traditional businesses. This interaction must be more efficient, providing the customer with a clear view of each transaction, often in real-time and without human intervention. Delivering this level of service and responsiveness requires an e-business to manage the entire commerce chain. This chain is comprised of the traditional enterprise transaction processing functions, supply chain management (SCM) functions, logistics management, and the customer-facing functions, typically referred to as customer relationship management (CRM). In a successful e-business, all of these areas are seamlessly integrated to provide the organization with the ability to quickly and efficiently sell, manufacture, and deliver products or services.
