Implementing XmlReader Classes for Non-XML Data Structures and Formats

Overview When you are using an XmlTextReader or an XmlDocument, do you really care if the data "behind" it actually is XML? Do you care if a file containing text complying with the XML well-formedness rules gets loaded and parsed? I'd say, no. You don't care much. You care mainly about the object model you are using to traverse or manipulate the data. The textual notation of XML only is relevant to you as a persistence format for storing or exchanging data.
