Cost-Effective Management of International Networks

Overview Managing an International network is different from managing a national network. Particularities, such as the language, different dominant telecommunications operators in countries and the legal regulations have to be taken into account when building and managing an international network. Understanding these particularities and adjusting the management to them will improve the cost-effectiveness of the network. In this article, we focus on two areas that influence the management of an international network: The regulatory framework (addressed in paragraph 2) and the availability of telecommunications services (addressed in paragraph 3) in the countries in which the network is located. Paragraph 4 shows a model that could explain influences of the two particularities on the cost-effective management of the network.
