How to Present Training with Impact!

Overview For training to have impact, it must be memorable and achieve the purpose for which it was designed. That presumes that training is related to a business need, has specific and measurable objectives and uses a variety of appropriate adult learning methods. Learners need to identify the benefit of training to be interested in the topic and its application.
What makes training memorable? First, some element of discovery needs to be involved in the learning experience. Discovery learning can be powerful. “If I tell it to you it’s mine; if you discover it, it’s yours.” This statement about discovery learning suggests that the trainer or facilitator needs to set a learning environment that permits the learner to discover the concept or main learning point of a training session. The more a trainer forces a point of view on a learner, the more it may be resisted.
