MPEG-4 Simple Profile Video Encoder

Overview This document gives a brief technical description of MPEG-4 Video and the overview of WIPRO’s MPEG-4 video decoder implementation. MPEG-4 video (ISO/IEC 14496) is the most recent multimedia standard developed by Joint Technical Committee ISO/IEC JTC 1, Information Technology. ISO/IEC 14496-2 was prepared by Subcommittee SC 29, Coding of audio, picture, multimedia and hypermedia information. This part was developed in response to the growing need for a coding method that can facilitate access to visual objects in natural and synthetic moving pictures and associated natural or synthetic sound for various applications such as digital storage media, internet, various forms of wired or wireless communication, etc.
