Overview
Outside In Viewing and Conversion technologies are adding value to many applications that share the requirement to let users view, convert, share and process business content in a Web environment.
Information stored in proprietary document formats may have a longer life than the authoring application that created the document. Although business rules and industry regulations mandate that information remain available, archiving the information in the proprietary format of an obsolete application can render it inaccessible. Outside In Content Access enables developers to create searchable text indices of archived documents. For environments that prefer to store documents as XML, Outside In XML Export converts the information stored in legacy documents into a "timeless" XML document compliant with an open DTD.
