Propagation Characteristics for Land Mobile Satellite Systems from L-Band to EHF-Band

Overview A survey of land mobile satellite channel characteristics is presented in this paper. The channel characteristics comprise L-band data for low earth orbiting (LEO) personal communications satellite systems as well as EHF-band data for future high bit rate multimedia services. The characteristics are given for narrowband and wideband applications in different scenarios and environments.
