Biometrics Emerges as a Solution for Security

Overview In London, surveillance cameras equipped with face-recognition software search for the mugs of known criminals walking the streets. In 17 states, people are able to cash checks at kiosks that scan their faces to verify their identify before dispensing the money. Computer technology that can identify individuals based on fingerprints, hand prints, facial features, speech patterns and other physical characteristics is no longer limited to 007 spy movies. It's gradually coming into everyday use around the world.
