Shared-sheath Study Using the Enhanced AMP Communications Outlet System

Overview A variety of adapter inserts are available which plug into the card edge connectors and provide the appropriate connector interface for the desired application. Adapter inserts include 6- and 8-position modular jacks as well as many dual jack inserts that are pinned out for specific applications (such as 10BASE-T or token ring). Single and dual Category 5 inserts are available for 10/100BASE-T, TP-PMD (FDDI on UTP), token ring, 155 Mbps ATM and various combinations of the above. When combined with AMP Enhanced Category 5 cable, these inserts form the Enhanced ACO System, which provides the power sum NEXT performance required to support two 2-pair applications on one 4-pair cable.
