ATM Signalling Testing Pitfalls
Overview ATM signalling is a high-level protocol which allows ATM connections to be dynamically set-up and cleared. It is part of the ATM Forum UNI 3.0 and above specifications. Simply stated, an ATM network without signalling capabilities is like a phone system without dial-up lines. This article discusses some common problems that developers may encounter when implementing the ATM signalling protocol on their equipment.
