Industry Standard Protocols White Papers

Broadcast Memory Hardware

Overview Broadcast MEMORY’s open architecture design uses memory mapped access to NetRAM. No special protocols or control layers are involved with reading or writing data. All reads to NetRAM are local, while all writes are to the network. After hardware setup by software, data packetizing, writing to NetRAM, and broadcasting data packets to other nodes is transparent to the memory mapped operation. Consequently, host system design is straight forward and independent from the shared memory network design.
