Windows NT Load Balancing Service (WLBS) Technical Overview

Overview Microsoft® Windows NT® Load Balancing Service (WLBS), a feature of Windows NT Server 4.0, Enterprise Edition, provides scalability and high availability to enterprise-wide TCP/IP services, such as Web, proxy, Virtual Private Networking (VPN), and streaming media services. WLBS brings special value to enterprises deploying intranets and other TCP/IP services to link clients with transaction applications and back-end databases.
