The Legitimacy Gap Between IS Professionals and Users

Overview Computerized systems that transform work life are not always acceptable to users because some of their features or implementations are not considered legitimate. This article is based on an empirical study that used the Legitimacy Assessment Mapping Test to investigate differences between IS professionals and users as to the legitimacy of the consequences of the decisions and actions related to the introduction on an information system.
