ArcView Image Analysis Extension

Overview Imagery of the Earth's surface, both aerial and satellite, has become an integral part of today's GIS and desktop mapping systems. The new ArcView Image Analysis extension provides the tools necessary for ArcView GIS users to take full advantage of the wide range of digital image data that is available today, or planned for in the near future. This includes aerial photography and digital orthoimagery of all types, as well as current and future small-, medium-, and large-scale satellite data. The ArcView Image Analysis extension is an ERDAS product and is the result of a collaborative effort between Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) and ERDAS, intended to bring key elements of the ERDAS Geographic Imaging capabilities into the ArcView GIS environment.
